Is this a joke? I mostly listen to the early eras, and the majority of shows I listen to have at least 1 very good copy in circulation. I'm not sure what kind of standard you have when it comes to audio quality. Could you provide links to some of these terrible recordings? What years do you like best?

Maybe it's my (new) Ipad and the Safari OS? Take 1978, just as an example. I couldn't find any shows to stream that weren't 'released' (and therefore 'locked', or basically unlistenable (to me). Could this be causing me grief? I admit, i didn't have as many issues with my old laptop. Also, didn't we used to be able to stream without song breaks? I thought so. Ideas?

Interesting info. I use a PC w/ windows media player, I have cheap crappy speakers and the sound is pretty darn good. does Ipad / Safari let you click on the VBR M3U link to stream through local player or are you forced to use the embedded player on the right?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no on streaming, more often no. . Forces you to use embedded player, I think. I cannot DL anything. period.

This one sounds pretty nice to my ear.

Now the song breaks travesty is another issue. Why in the world is there an intrusive cut between China and Rider, between Scarlet and Fire. And then folks post bitchy 1 star ratings if those obnoxious breaks are missing. I use samplitude to remove those breaks after I download, but its a lot of work. I can set it up with track marks but not the gap that causes me to twinge in pain everytime I hear one. Is this just part of the OCD need to have each song individually catagorized and organized and thusly compartmentalized? It is certainly not for listening pleasure as it breaks up the flow of a second set so brutally.

That has to be near the top for audio quality. Amazing.

Some long takes on songs as well: 11' Candyman, 16' LIG, 16' NFA (rounding up).
